SUNIL KUMAR THADANI - Founder CEO

Sunil Kumar Thadani have been in the entertainment industry for the last 23 year, and have learnt a lot during this time. he started his career in India in 1993 and went to Dubai in 2000 and started his own line production company in Dubai, and apart from that, in this year he has started a film as co-producer.

As an apprentice he started picking up bits and pieces from the stalwarts who took him under their wing and soon he became a part of many hit films like “Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman”, “Salaakhen”, “Coolie No 1”, “Ittefaq”, and “Junoon” to name a few. It is during the process of being a part of the above mentioned films that he learnt the ropes of producing and marketing a film and he knew that he had taken a step in the right direction towards fulfilling his dream…having gained some valuable experience he decided to spread his wings further and plunge high into the sky and he shifted base to Dubai with the launch of his independent line production company aptly called ‘Dubai Satellite Services”.

As line producer he has done a series of wonderful films with some of the most promising banners of the industry executed by his company…films like “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi”, “Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya”, “Tumsa nahin Dekha”, “Deewane Hue Paagal”, “Milenge Milenge”, “36 China Town”, “Partner”, “Race”, “Woh Lamhe” , “Main aur Mrs Khanna” ,“Dabangg” & Dabangg-2.

In 2012 formed a company Playground Films, idea behind playground was to develop interesting n unique content n socialy relevent stories. In Playground we hav hired proffessional writers to create n write film scripts on my personal experiences, tv content & mini series for digital platform.

Playground Digital Cinema

2016 with the Indian Film industry now on the cusp of a massive transformation, with paradigms and procedures being redefined, a requirement has emerged for a very different strata of CINEMA. The requirement is that of new age centric digital content that are still in within the commercially viable space.

With a view to service these emerging requirements, Playground Digital Cinema. has been formed.

Not bound by any specific genre of cinema, Playground Digital Cinema is intended to both a laboratory as well as a factory floor for Digital space. A number of projects have already been worked out logistically and are on the stage of implementation. With the industry expanding onto newer horizons, Playground Digital Cinema is ready to unleash its own brand of digital channel upon the world.

MOHAAN SHETTY - Co Founder COO

Mohaan started his career, more than two decades ago, in 1983 with Pahlaj Bajaj & Co. (the sole concessionaire for DD – Sports Programmes). In his capacity as marketing executive, Mohaan was responsible for sourcing and marketing programmes to various channels. Prominent among those were programmes like Wimbledon, TWI events, US Open etc.

Later as a partner in Multichannel, he was instrumental in setting up and then heading their marketing outfit.

From 1987 onwards, he was the force behind Multichannel’s foray into commercializing Hindi Feature Film on Home video. Some of their major clients were Time/Gold, Bombino, Magnum, Shemaroo, Indus He also conceptionalised Solus & Situational Advertising on Home Video. In fact, Multichannel once controlled nearly 100% of buying in this media.

In 1992-93, he envisioned the boom in regional markets, and ensured that his clients were seen and heard in several languages on various channels. He was instrumental in tie-ups with Kavithalaya Productions (a K. Bhalachandran company) and in making Multichannel, ABCL’s marketing outfit for one year. To top it all, he also marketed Mani Ratnam’s first privatized feature film ‘Bombay.

Mohaan’s strength in marketing is complemented by his extensive expertise in Production.

Amongst the many programmes produced and marketed by Mohaan, the most notable are: Bajaj Ke Tarane, Lehren, Aap Ki Khatir, Naya Nukkad, Ek Aur Mahabharat, Showtheme, Ajnabi and Imtihaan. Besides such widely popular regional programmes as Kai Alavu Manasu and Marmedesam on Sun TV.

As producer, he produced such popular serials as “Dekho Magar Pyar Se” and “Basanti”.

“Rao Saheb” and “Haque” are the two feature films he has produced.

Beyond production and marketing, Mohaan has also been instrumental in buying and trading of feature films for the leading satellite TV networks.

Mohaan worked as a Consultant to Moser Baer, the largest CD/DVD manufacturing company in the world, where his considerable experience, expertise and networking in the industry was utilized towards the setting up of a Copyright & Distribution division in the company.

Mohaan also worked with Adlabs Films Ltd as a consultant to market and syndicate their inhouse content, exploring their possibilities for the overseas market.

Now dealing in IPR more in building of Negative rights under the brand of Black & white Colour Films Pvt Ltd, the company has library of approximately 40 films negative rights in various languages like Hindi Marathi & Gujrathi

At present on board with a company called Lotus Enterprise, which has recently started a new Marathi movie channel called “FAKT MARATHI” which is the second Marathi Movie Channel, after Zee Talkies, launched in the month of October, has a catalogue of more then 300 Marathi films. This gropu has Five Channels in total branded as ‘ENTER10”,DANGAL,BHOJPURI CINEMA, IMAGINE MOVIES & FAKT MARATHI..Out of the above IMAGINE MOVIES is being aired as FREE TO AIR MOVIE CHANNEL CATERING TO THE MIDDLE EAST COMMUNITY.

To sum up, Mohaan doesn’t just sell, he ensures that the right product reaches the right destination at the right time…and this is made possible because of his extensive hands-on experience in each stage of production and marketing. It’s no surprise then that he has to his credit, the experience of producing and marketing more than 10,000 hours of software.

RATAN LAL JAIN - Managing Director

Mr. Ratan Jain is from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and is in the industry since 2007.He comes from the Print Media Background being associated with one of the largest Newspaper group “Danik Bhaskar”.
He is Master in Business Administrations and Knows the management of Money.
He has taken a stink in TV industry already by producing 1500 hrs of programming for various Indian.He is now ready to plunge into Bollywood with his experties of Finance Management.
